SARASOTA, FL – Christopher R. Sforzo, M.D., a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Sforzo | Dillingham Orthopedics, was recognized as one of the region’s “Top Doctors” by Castle-Connolly Medical Ltd., a national healthcare research and information company.
Dr. Sforzo, who is fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity surgery, was named a “Top Doctor” in orthopedic surgery in the listing published recently in Sarasota Magazine.

Dr. Sforzo was the first surgeon to perform an endoscopic carpal tunnel release at Lakewood Ranch Medical center. He treats many pediatric patients and has expertise in fracture care.
In the community, Dr. Sforzo serves as coach, medical director and team physician for several hundred student athletes. He is also Director of Sports Medicine for the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, the official orthopedic surgeon and hand surgeon to the Sarasota Orchestra, a special consultant for the IMG Academies and the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, and an assistant clinical professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine, Sarasota Campus.
